Bad taste. Couple green slime unis with four salutes to the heroes in the cafeteria line and we could actually disorient USC so much that they give us a game.
I kid, though it reminds of the Pirates old unis.

These colors are more suited to the Texas Horned Frogs (Toads?) post collision with a Mac truck.
Kevin White's wife must have a teddy make out of this same color combination of shirt.
Is it just me or do others feel the main reason we are bringing out the green jerseys is to push up the bookstore sales.
Why else would you promote this months in advance when the main reason this has been done in the past is to surprise the team and get them pumped up...
Hey, the green jerseys are great . . . at least, they were back when we used to win wearing them. Right now it's just silly.
I have never liked these post 1977..I told Gerry Faust that he would use them before he ever coached a game and he swore he'd stick to that UCLA robin's egg blue...of course he used them...best that we save the green jersey's for the next generation
CW announced the green jerseys before the season began. It's not a ploy. It's a tribute to the 1977 National Championship team being honored this weekend.
I'd be just as happy never seeing those green jerseys again...ever.
I love the green jerseys but I think you have to coach at ND for at least 5 years before you can tell the team to wear them. Ty and Bob used them like they were marketing ploys, CW did too but he had the best outcome. I say we practice with green and then put the white on, like Lou but opposite. AHHH wear the green and kick USC's ass. GO IRISH.
if you look at what charlie and the players have said they don't equate wearing the green throwbacks as the same as bringing out the green jerseys.... the purpose of these is tribute to the '77 team, not to surprise the team and get pumped up like in the past, and the players know that.
its very much an adidas/bookstore sales move, but the players voted for it. im fine with it as it isnt diminshing the effect of the actual green jerseys as we're more familiar with them.
